Description

Light bulbs are the backbone of our home’s lighting. They’re used to set the mood, help us complete a specific task, and generally make us feel comfortable in our homes. They’re behind every lamp shade, and they’re what requires changing when our lights stop working. As every light bulb has different uses: ambient lighting, task lighting, or accent lighting, each lightbulb requires a different structure to get its job done. Part of this structure is the base. There are two main types of light bulb bases. One is screw bases, the other is pin bases. The only real difference between these light bulbs is how they connect to the fixture. Screw bases speak for themselves; they screw right into the fixture. Pin-bases are visibly different, as they have one or two pins that jut out from the bottom of the base.
