This German chasing hammer has one large, smooth, slightly convex face for striking chasing tools or planishing metal and one round, ball-end for peening and riveting. The wood handle has a narrowed neck that allows some bounce-back with each strike, producing improved control and less muscle fatigue. The head is not plated and polished to a mirror finish.
