1 kg of powdered bat wash to protect footrings from sticking to kiln shelf.Price per kilogram.Bat wash is supplied dry in powder form.Mix with water in a plastic container. Consistency of milk is ideal. Allow a new mixture to sit overnight.Stir well before and during use.Apply two coats with large brush as shown. Brush and spread bat wash quickly as the water is absorb quite quickly into the kiln shelf.Do not apply to thickly.Allow to dry overnight.Shelves can be used once dry, it is not necessary to fire the shelf first.Apply additional thin coats when foot rings start to stick again.
