Norfolk Book Sofa
The design of this book support allows books of a large variety of sizes and thickness to be supported correctly during handling by researchers. The shape adjusts gradually as reading progresses to cradle volumes exactly where needed but without allowing them to open too far, limiting strain on the spine. The removable outer cover is made from 100% cotton fabric that is approved as a display material by major museums. It is also machine washable to ensure that the support can be kept clean and presentable. The unbleached calico interior contains lightweight, flame retardant polystyrene beads. Available in two sizes. The standard size accommodates volumes up to approximately 11'' x 15'' (closed dimension), and the large version is for bound newspapers and larger volumes.
