This is the KAI N5220: 8 1/2-inch shear. It has ergonomically soft handles that allow for fatigue-free cutting on all types of fabric. The hardened stainless steel blades cut through multiple layers of denim with ease while trimming cottons without fabric slippage.It also features large handle grips and a standard blade length. Individuals with larger hands typically find this grip to be very comfortable.

Serrated blades help grip the fabric on satin, silky, slippery fabrics. Excellent on cotton for cutting multiple layers of patchwork piecing.The eight inch N3210SE is ideal for longer cuts and would be considered a standard length. The serrated teeth are considered a micro serration, not to be confused with a pinking blade.
