Hobbs Heirloom® Premium Natural 100% Cotton Batting is a non-allergenic, natural cotton batting that’s made with the finest, clean, natural (unbleached), long-staple, virgin cotton available (and it proudly displays the Cotton Incorporated Seal). Hobbs Heirloom Cotton Batting should be paired with medium or dark fabrics – if paired with white or light-colored fabrics, natural (unbleached) cotton can slightly darken the fabrics. We recommend quilters test this batting with their chosen fabric(s) to see if ‘darkening’ will be an issue – and if it will be, we recommend using Hobbs Heirloom® Premium Bleached 100% Cotton Batting as an alternative. This batting may be stitched up to 4″ apart, and it is machine washable (once inside a quilt), with shrinkage of 3-5% expected. We recommend quilters spend time learning about Hobbs Heirloom Cotton Batting before using it on a project – making samples using this batting to see how it needles, both by hand and by machine, and how it launders, provides an opportunity to see if this batting can deliver the desired results. * Pre-washing is not recommended for this batting product. *Please Note: This product will be shipped directly from the vendor. Hobbs HNS90 Batting Heirloom Natural Unbleached Cotton

Hobbs Heirloom Natural Unbleached Cotton Batting is made from 100% natural, unbleached cotton. Ideal for both hand and machine quilting, this high-grade cotton batting is equipped with a thin layer of scrim (stabilizer) that has been needle punched into the fibers. Scrim provides an extra layer of strength and prevents stretching and distorting. Strong yet soft, this low loft batting becomes softer with every wash. Prewashing is not recommended.
