Choice of vintage mother-of-pearl shell buttons, called “tany”or “Gilgit buttons”, from the mountain village of Gilgit in northern Pakistan. These buttons have been worn as ornaments and protective amulets adorning dresses and hats for generations. Each one is unique and different. Most have two holes for fastening (or use as focal pendant).Sold individually.
