Canopus Back Beat 14 42-strand nickel plated snare wires were developed to provide a more pronounced back beat at all volume levels. The 42-strand wire provides a full, powerful back beat while the nickel plating helps to reduce unwanted overtones. These wires are 0.5mm-thick with a spiral thickness of 1.35mm and a pitch of 3.5mm. They feature a very thin 0.5mm end plate with lipped holes and lapel to prevent string or strap breakage.
